Free, fun, nature-filled day!
Students in Grades 4-6 will take part in a fun-filled day exploring the “Wonders of Nature” in the unique and beautiful Wascana Marsh ecosystem. Classes of students rotate between six different stations consisting of diverse, nature related activities such as pond dipping, migration obstacle course, insect tracking and making seed paper. These experiences will provide students numerous opportunities to discover, investigate, research and reflect throughout the day in a hands-on and engaging manner. The Friends of Wascana Marsh covers all costs for the day, including bus costs to the site. The Friends of Wascana Marsh will be accepting applications from interested classes until Friday, April 14 (complete the form below to express interest). After that date six classes will be chosen at random to participate in the Festival. Accepted classes will be notified before April 21 and will have to confirm participation before deadline.
*Please note that only one class can attend under an application. Our stations are not designed to fit combined classes.
