Event, Rental and Permit Application

Willow Island is only available Thursday – Sunday from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

We do not permit early arrivals, and we charge an overtime rate of $200 per hour in 15 minutes increments for late departures. All times are assumed to be in Saskatchewan time (UTC-6).

Prior Authorizations

Depending on the type of permit requested, the applicant may be required to provide evidence to the Commission of the following before a permit is granted:

• approval of the landowner.
• adequate insurance coverage.
• additional safety coverage, security, safety plans, contracts with service providers as required.
• permits, licenses, or approvals required by other government authorities and regulatory bodies.

If applicable, please attach evidence that those prior authorizations have been secured to this application.

Permits for Temporary Structures

If this is a permit for a temporary structure to be erected in Wascana Centre such as a tent, shelter, canopy, or for other temporary construction, the permit is for an improvement. Tents require the completion of a separate temporary structure improvement application in the following circumstances:

• the structure is >58m² (625sq ft) Structures spaced more than 3m apart can be considered separate buildings, or the structure is >10m² but ≤ 58m² (if alcohol is being served) Any temporary building permit is subject to obtaining a building permit from the City of Regina prior to erecting the structure.
